Borg Warner Transmission ID and Ratio Guide
T-10's come in many different ratios. It's important to know the particulars of your hot rod's drivetrain before purchasing.
If you intend to run a numerically high rear end gear (4.11 or more) the Close Ratio & Wide Ratio will work properly, although highway driving would be rough with this gear, running Approx. 3100 RPM, 3.73, Approx. 2800 RPM, 3.25, approx. 2500 RPM @ 60 MPH w/ a 27" tall tire. It's adviseable to use a wide ratio box with less then a 4.10 Ratio. First gear acceleration is reduced with the close ratio gear box, which is why they're typically run with short gears.
